To help simulate reality, TEW07 will feature the addition of a possible third brand split.
The brand split tool continues to have the same features as in TEW05, including the ability to hold your own draft, but you will now have the choice of whether to have two or three brands (or none, obviously). Of course, all the related features (branded titles and shows, increased ideal roster sizes for brand split promotions, sorting by brand, etc) remain. |

Working with the board's resident Japanese expert Lukie, TEW07 features several changes designed to help better simulate the puroresu scene. One of these is the Worker Loyalty statistic.
Each worker can be assigned a Loyalty stat. It can take three forms; None, Freelance, or a specific promotion. These can change during the game play.
If a worker's Loyalty is set to None, that does not literally mean he is completely mercenary and will show no loyalty at any times. What it means is that he acts like any worker in TEW05; he has no particular bias to which promotion he wants to work with. This is the default setting for most workers.
If a worker's Loyalty is set to a specific promotion, that shows he has very strong ties to that company. The effect is that he will show strong loyalty to the promotion, and is unlikely to be tempted to "jump ship" to another, even if they are bigger. It also means he is likely to spend a large portion - if not his entire career - with that company. It should be noted that this does not mean they can't work elsewhere; they might work for several promotions, or be loaned out with a talent trade, it just means that they are unlikely to totally leave the company.
If a worker's Loyalty is set to Freelance, that means that they adhere to the Japanese concept of freelance work. Basically, they don't believe in being tied down to a specific company, and so they may work for lots of promotions over the course of a year, but they will almost entirely be working under Short Term deals or working individual tours. They wouldn't, for example, sign a written deal, even if the promotion in question was a huge Global promotion. Generally only big name wrestlers who have the name value to be able to always attract work will be Freelancers, as a way to have better control over their career.
It should be noted that you can toggle which areas take into account this new statistic when starting a new game, so if you only want it to apply to Japan (as it was designed to be used) then you can. |

One of the features that has been upgraded are house shows. As well as the obvious related change to allow all three brands to run house shows, there are two other new additions, House Show Roster and House Show Booking.
The House Show Roster is pretty simple; it allows you to specify who is currently on your house show crew (rather than in 05, where everybody under a written contract was automatically on the show). Again you can only use people who are under written contract, but you can now leave people off who you want to help recover physically. As a side effect of this feature, you can also automatically see the number of people you have working house shows, and therefore can avoid having too few people to run the shows without requiring a mail to tell you that a show has been cancelled.
House Show Booking allows you to influence the booking of the house shows so that you can monitor certain people for chemistry. You choose two workers and what you want to look for - their chemistry as opponents, as tag team partners, or as manager\client. This will then be taken into account by the team running the house show, and after a few house shows they will be able to give you a report on what chemistry (if any) they found. This allows you to test out potential matches \ teams \ combinations before you use them on-screen, avoiding potential problems. You can set up as many of these combinations to check as you want, with the limit being that a worker can only be monitored for one thing at a time, and it can only be done with people who are working house shows (obviously). |
